There are different ways to get around the Bar Harbor area. Many people will find it nice to walk on a sunny day with the sidewalks and streetlights paving the way. The area is very safe, and the crosswalk lights will flash for people to cross safely. The list below with give you other options as well as options for wanting to go around the island and into Acadia National Park.

Island Explorer Bus—207-667-5796

This is a free shuttle bus that goes all around the Island. They have multiple buses that stop at various areas as well as into the National Park. The buses start at the Village Green in Downtown Bar Harbor. Many tourists love this shuttle and its FREE. The number 3 Eden Street Bus will be the most common.
